About GemCity Magazine
Dasanayaka Holdings (PVT) Ltd was established in 2017 and has since been engaged in business activities across multiple sectors, including Sri Lanka’s gem industry.
Building on this industry experience and connection to the gem business community, GemCity Magazine was launched in 2024 as a dedicated industry publication serving Sri Lanka’s gem, jewellery and wider business community.
Founded by Charith Dasanayaka, with Gayathri Karunadasa serving as Editor-in-Chief, GemCity Magazine was created with a clear purpose: to provide reliable, professional and industry-focused content while creating a platform that connects businesses, professionals and stakeholders across the sector.
Based in Ratnapura — internationally renowned for its gemstone heritage — the magazine brings together insights and contributions from industry professionals, business leaders and subject-matter experts.
